About The Artist

    Hello my name is Carla M. Swinke. Thank you for your interest.  I currently reside near Chicago, IL.  My artistic journey first began as a self-taught artist in both graphic design and canvas art around 1996.   I found myself in need of another outlet in my late teens.   One day I picked up a paint brush and began my travels into the expressive world that is art.  It felt natural to me and I have learned very much hands-on through the years. Of course, there is still much more to always learn.  I began exploring the world of Adobe Photoshop while in junior college and there my interest in graphic arts began.  I knew then that art would be a part of my life and goals.

    Every day I am expanding my artistic abilities by attending the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online in both graphic arts as well as continuing to hone my skills in hand expressed art.  I will be receiving my Associates in Graphic Design in March 2013.   After obtaining my Associates I will further my education goals with a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Animation.

     As an artist I am looking to realize my dream of sharing my passion and abilities with the world.  There is art out there for everyone to connect with.  Art can be for the soul, the heart, and the mind.  I hope that my work relates to all three.  I am looking to reach those who can relate to my work and see my vision.   My overall goal is for potential clients to see my abilities as an asset and utilize them for their own creative needs.
